Apple has dropped AppleWorks from the new Intel-based Macs, a clear sign (as if it wasn't already clear) that they will not put any further development effort into the suite (like creating Universal binaries for the Intel platform).

AppleWorks is as good as dead. The lack of a spreadsheet module in iWork is a glaring hole that I hope they fill sooner than iWork '07.
