Yep, Excel's been around for a while
I was selling Macs back when the 512 was top of the line (before the plus), and Excel had just come out. FileMaker was around before Apple bought it, and I didn't know the exact history of it.

Around here, it wouldn't have suprised me to see someone post, "FileMaker was being developed by two guys in their garage 4.7 months before Microsoft released Excel," or something like that, so I left it open for correction happy.
