Not that I don't think you already know that. So long as people keep buying, crime and coercion will continue. Sure, for now sales of those CDs that have the rootkit defect will take a hit. But the real message would be gotten across if PS3 lost big time in sales over this. But we all know it won't. In a few months most people will barely remember this and it will be as though it never happened. Everyone will buy the PS3 and tout what an amazing company Sony is. This is why the charade will keep going on ad infinitum. Until companies get the message that messing with the consumer will result in permanent financial loss, only then will we see substantial change. And most Americans are such dumb absent minded rejects with zero drive, that they will ensure the sustenance of greedy corrupt companies, which of course will ensure that we will see another rootkit type campaign to rear its ugly head sooner or later..
