Problem is...
They have to see the effects... Even with this Rootkit, they don't see any difference. Mostly because of "uneducated" users. It doesn't excuse Sony's misconduct whatsoever..

But fact of the matter is.. Go tell someone you know that a Sony CD installs something called a rootkit that allows viruses.. "Well isn't that what this yellow icon on the lower right corner" supposed to stop?

Point of the matter is.. Most people won't care other than the more "technologically" advanced users who understand and care for the reprocussions.

Otherwise, it's a matter of law and lawyers fighting for the "uneducated" consumers.
