Not so sure about that
Faith has been used to demonize technology progress. The thing about research is you find answers and sometimes those answers don't support your faith so you choose to not look and fight research.

I mean what happens if research into technology has good chance of proving everything in the Bible as false? As a good Christian to you fight to ban research into areas that threaten your faith or do you charge in and learn more and grow in faith? Problem is most peolpe are not strong enough in faith to accept that which challenges thier faith and therefore they fail to grow in faith. Fear keeps them in place, a great trick of Satan's.
