Work ethic?
I've never noticed that. I don't think you are correct there. Faith in god has little to do with work ethic. Seeing a reward for ones work has everything to do with work ethic. That is sorely lacking today for many.

Also in 1955 and 1905 there were less people meaning less youth therefore less youth to be troubled.

Lack of faith in God is not the problem. The problem is over population and there a fix coming for that in the near future. That fix would be bird flu.

The people who control the 90% of the wealth have not really increased in number while the remaining 10% of the wealth is spread over much greater population.

So look at it like this.

1 person controls 90% of the worlds wealth of $1000. That's $900 to one person. The remaining world population of 1000 people divide remaining $100 amoungst themselves giving them 10 cents each. Now if the population of grows to 2000 over time that 10 cents people got turns into 5 cents.

This the problem today. The reward to work hard is disappearing quickly as the population increases.
