Proof?

Actually, that's a very odd thing to say. No proof !?! A lot of the
business practices of Microsoft are overt, documented and, in
some cases, incredibly dumb (and funny if it were not so serious
- am referring to the doectored tape Microsoft supplied in the
'98 United states vs Microsoft trial the plaintiff noticed that some
icons mysteriously disappear and reappear on the PC's desktop,
suggesting that the effects might have been falsified. A claim
they wheedled out of by blaming the mistakes on subordinates
and incidentally suddenly dropping the line of defense that
Windows becaame buggy when IE was removed).

The violation of anti-trust laws/monopoly laws is very well
documented (as it has to be) and certainly the EU vs Microsoft
reports, appeals and verdicts are available for download or
obtainable through the EU as paper copies and one could also
search the press archives form the Times, Guardian etc to get
reports on these.

Certainly, there is documentation (again this is not covert) that
Microsoft lobbys the US Government to get benefits for itself and
its products. US diplomats often use Microsoft in trade
agreements to tie in US products to other countries. In most
cases this is not illegal. It is, however, soemthing which anyone
who doesn't believe in corporate control of democracy will find
quite morally bankrupt.

The fact that almost all ruling against Microsoft have been
quashed, qulled, ignored, overturned by the current US
administration (and thereby clearly benefits the corporation over
the public) is only as much of a concern as the fact this generally
happens to all companies now. You can't blame Microsoft for
taking the same advantages that other companies do. But then
again that's the way the US runs!
