You're not understanding the "Points"
The person interviewing Ballmer said "I've heard a statistic that Microsoft accounts for less than 1.5 percent of total IT expenditures in large enterprises. Obviously, you want to grow that percentage."

So, for one even the interviewer understands that as a business you want higher price points...duh...after all that's the very goal of a business to make a profit!

As the comment says...Microsoft is at a low points in this area, so they are looking to grow that meaning they aren't there yet...so they aren't earning the money yet...they are working on improving that area...if they were sticking it to their customers like you said then that would mean they are already there and making high points but that's not the case.

Earth to Chad...if Linux was so great then why aren't they passing Microsoft? They are not the fastest growing segment overall...c'mon...come back to reality.
