Ballmer: All Your $$ Belong to M$
CEOs usually talk about better products. You know, faster,
smaller, cheaper, more robust, less clunky. Instead we hear
about the prospects of Windows Live being pulled through Vista
and other such mumbo jumbo. Then we get the classic double-
talk with the word "pop." To the stock holders he's saying more
money more often to keep them happy but he's so out of touch
that he thinks the user will appreciate a contious and mandatory
refresh policy. Microsoft is no different than the railroads. Like
the railroads they will be around for a long time and still be
profitable and still carry customer cargo but also like the
railroads they will have to accept that all the people are going to
travel by automobile. That's because autos are you know, faster,
smaller, cheaper, more robust, less clunky.
