PHP5 is the slight horse that no one in stands seems to be betting on.

I too am a .NET and J2EE programmer (yeah I have too much time on my hands). Everytime I do something and the client REQUESTS it be done using either of the too... I just don't get it. Not all does it cost more in labor and hardware. It will be slower and require more $$$ as systems change. Its also prone to being easily broken by just updating the engine (.NET or JAVA2) platform.

PHP runs on less hardware and IT RUNS FASTER.. it allows me to give a faster turn around time.. and because it less of a headache I charge less.... Yet this still doesn't matter! I guess its about perceived value.. If you pay more it would be worth more.
