Very true
>>95% of MySQL/PHP programmers are not going to install (and pay for) ColdFusion on their servers JUST to run a slightly more interactive and windows-like interface.

=============

I agree. That would be foolish. However, flash forms and Cfform in general add a little more than a ?slightly more interactive and windows-like interface?. And I am very thankful for that perception.

Like wise, 95% of the owners of small web dev shops would see the value of only having to pay college kids and/or web monkeys $12-15/hr to develop interactive forms with advanced error checking, text formatting and masking, instead of having to pay a PHP developer, with a fairly sophisticated knowledge of JS, $25?45/hr to get the same results. It would pay for itself with one dinky $3000 site; Never mind the added benefit of freeing more advanced developers to focus on more challenging tasks, again saving money. When you can bill $50-60/hr for a jr. developer and pay them $15/hr, people tend to pay attention. I know I did.

That is why we can out bid our competitors, have a shorter turn around time, and still make a pretty hefty margin. Everyone wins; the client is paying less (read: happy), the web monkey is not flipping burgers, the developer is not bored out of his skull making simple admins, and I am making more money.
