Flash forms
>>Has the author of this article seen some of the things people have done with Flash? I know I hate it, but I have to admit, people have created some pretty good stuff with Flash long before AJAX became a buzzword.

I cring when clients mention flash and/or say things like they want their site to have "Pizzaz".

BTW, Have you seen what Macromedia has done with ColdFusion and Flash forms? That is a some SLICK shite.

Any web developer knows that forms are one of the most time consuming aspect of coding Database driven sites. Hell I wrote a script to write all the queries, forms and drill downs from the fields in the database. I can crank out as simple 20 field Add/Modify/Delete (AMD) with error checking in 5 minutes.

Macromedia has done one better and removed most of the work out of making forms with their flash forms. And the tabing feature makes great use of a pages real estate. I am getten more done faster with with CF than PHP. I still use PHP for the sites that get a lot of traffic. But for making back-ends and admins CF cant be beat.

I know that CF is frowned upon by the 733t crowd. I get that all the time. But the bottom line beats 733t every time.

Don't think CF is powerfull? Check this out.

cfmyadmin makes phpMyAdmin look like a geocities site.
