God I love PHP

It took a bit to get my head around it but it was SO worth the effort. I was never a big fan of ASP (VB gives me a rash) and I can only do so much with ColdFusion... and PERL can be a pain.

The thing I like most about PHP is that it runs on both IIS and Apache. Finally an easy to use language that I can deploy (for the most part) on both my windows and *nix boxes. There were a few incompatibilities but they were minimal. I took a PHP site developed on a windows server and dropped it on a Linux box and it worked. I mean it just worked. No tweaks (save a few chmod's), no secret hand shakes....nothing. And you know how picky linux can be.

What an unexpected pleasure.
