Self-important bunk
An office file format will NOT change the world, whether it's ODF or Metro or PDF. The format in which the data is saved does not alter how people do thier work. It may facilitate collaboration, and may even show some productivity gains in certain environments (although giving the format credit for this is a bit much, as many other factors are involved), but it will not be the world wide web II.I'd venture to say that the selection of HTML, while important, was not the driving force behind the explosion of the web. First, it was porn and chatroom-type stuff, then commerical enterprises. I must begrudingly give AOL some credit, as well as Netscape.
