PDF: Kiss Your Bandwidth Goodbye
Imagine sending a 10-page plain-text document across town. It might take a second or two. Rich text? Five seconds. HTML or XML will cost you 30 seconds, but it will be worth it. The same file in PDF format will take five minutes. To get through a day's work, you will need a mainframe, two OSA cards and a T-1 link. But that's no problem in today's bite-the-bullet world of budget slashing. wink
