Microsoft shakes up Software Assurance
They need to keep shaking. Free MS consulting still doesn't justify purchasing a Software Assurance lottery ticket.

There are businesses who purchased Software Assurance in order to get Microsoft's "next-generation Windows operating system scheduled for release in 2004" but it never appeared. Same for 2005. Who knows if it will be here in 2006, but it's now looking like something businesses won't even want.

Software Assurance is like those extended warrenties the big box retailers are always trying to sell. They benefit no one except the seller.
