The CASE tool comes back
Strange the way everybody thinks that the computer industry is in a constant state of innovation.

The reality is that the computer industry is in a continuous state of change due to the continuous recycling of old ideas being marketed as something new.

Or, as is often the case the PC developers stumble across something that the mainframe developers had years and years ago and announce it as something new and astounding. I think this is another example of the "Year Zero" effect where the younger people in the industry think they have nothing to learn from the older generation. Therefore they repeat all the same mistakes and believe they have invented new things because they lack education in the history of their industy that would allow them to not have to keep reinventing everything every ten years.
