Win95 generated buzz because it actually WAS an improvement
Win95 was an actual step forward compared to Win 3.11. Who wasn't excited by its arrival? However, when you compare the latest and greatest to the previous versions of Windows since 2000, you can see that there simply hasn't been much progress since that Win95 event. There's plenty of innovation and room for improvement for the next version of Windows to deliver, but sadly Microsoft keeps avoiding tackling it and instead delivers software with dubious features and no real innovation. Sooner or later, people will stop holding out hope and will turn to other sources for an answer.
