I commend the author
I found the article to reflect a fairly deep level of research, and written fairly well too. Some of you clods have no apprecitaion for someone doing not only their job but showing a personal interest in it at the same time. I think it's pretty pathetic that those would criticize, but maybe they're just jealous that it isn't THEM writing the column. Maybe they lack the credentials. Or motivation.
Anyway, as to my "official" response to the story? What difference does it make that microsoft still makesa feeble effort to play on the open source idea? I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands of others who would agree with me when I say that IT'S JUST A LITTLE BIT TOO LATE TO SAVE FACE WITH A -GESTURE- LIKE THAT NOW.
