My statement here means that allot of businesses all over the world use Microsoft products. Maybe not millions, but I dont have the number. In other words, what I am saying is, that more and more businesses use Microsoft-based solutions, including .NET-based web products to solve their problems than I would guess PHP and open-sourced ones. I will admit, I dont have those numbers but am going by what I have seen personally in our business, talking to my clients, looking at open source code we have had to evaluate and trash for .NET models, and from what Ive read in terms of market saturation of Windows (ie 95% worldwide).

If any company uses a computer with Windows and uses software based on .NET, then its obviosuly made that choice over an open source model.
