I sympathize with you.
But unfortunately, it's a byproduct of the Micro Age. I get requests all the time from folks wanting me to show them where that button on the keyboard is that will make them produce award-winning advertising materials:

"Well, I got me a PeeCee and I got Word installed! Show me how you do those really slick color brochures. I'm all set, right?"
