This is whacky
>the industry needs to stop and listen to the voice of the customer
The only thing the customer is saying right now is that they want cheap software ? and they don?t care much about quality or innovation.

>Service needs to be more than an 800-number.
Then why has there been so little complaint about poor-quality offshore ?support? centers?

>consider tying your revenue to your customers? results
This is a whacky idea. Try telling your utility provider that you won?t be paying their bill unless you have a profitable year.

>the subscription model is able to deliver a sustainable, predictable revenue stream.
Now this is completely brilliant. Tying the customer to a multi-year agreement is *unpredictable* ? but letting them choose whether to renew every month is *predictable*?
