This quote is from the referenced article. It seems Thomas has a vested interest in seeing Optware fail and the early phases of its development is the time to sow seeds of doubt. Based on that alone, despite his credentials, I have reason to suspect his analysis and prognostication. Looks like another Blu-Ray, et al battle in the making. Just a quick mental timeline says HVD technology should come out about the time HD technology has recovered its development costs and comes down in price. So, at what price point would 4 times the storage capacity be more attractive than HD. Think I'll be a late adoptor of HD and see where HVD is.
