Where does this leave Relativity?
According to Einstein, nothing can go faster than the speed of light. If the speed of light can be reduced, could this rule be violated? And what would be the effects of the concurrent temporal distortions and the possibility of time travel?

Okay, I'm just kidding.

[ It's constant in a vacuum only, and redirecting it is just slowing it down by reflection and / or adding obstacles. For those who got worried reading the above].
