Scripting and triggers
It has scripting,triggers and some object oriented extensions to SQL. You can program it in several languages. TCL, Python, Perl, and PgSQL a language similar to Oracle PLSQL. Java and PHP is on their way. I don't know if they will be ready for 8.0 though.
Combined with the slony add on you will also have very good support for replication.
