I thought the Apple crack had been around for more than a year, really an extension of the old jHymn program that cracked FairPlay years ago. Apple's got the right attitude here, it really seems like they don't care about the fidelity of their DRM. It's not something that draws in customers, it's something they grudgingly have to do to mollify the RIAA.

MS, on the other hand, because of the rental music strategy, has to be extremely vigilant about such matters.
