Smart information
Let's assume an intelligent person looking for information and willing to devise a course of action based on numbers and insights derived from data. Difficult, but this is a thought experiment.

Preformatted reports are going to provide generally useful information. But specific problems require information tailored to answer questions.

So first our intelligent person is going to have to determine the right question.
And second, he's going to have to find a way the data can anser the question.
And third, he's going to have to understand what the data means.
And fourth, he's going to have to be certain that data left out wouldn't change the answer completely.

Bill Gates should be careful what he wishes for. Because if he gets it without intermediation, he's likely to be misled.
