They are all in the minority!: Much of what you hear about in any boisterous group is in the minority. Those who are the reasonable thinkers are much quieter because they don't feel that they need to correct someone or argue about who is so obviously wrong, or doesn't have any idea of what they are actually talking about.

Then there are those who continually jump to confusion! They don't have enough facts to say anything, but feel that they must react to the facts that they know, which may only be "truth" not "fact" (Very big difference between truths and facts).

Think about the know-it-all's and what I call "experienced-it-all's" that we all know, or have known.
