Theora digital video format is now fixed (the software is still
"alpha" (in a firefox way - it seems damn stable to me!) but the
format is fixed already.

Compression is comparable to MPEG4 or WMP9.

This will allow ultra cheap:
Hard Disk video recorder
Digital Camcorder (record to flash)
Web TV
and so on.
No licence fees, no hassle of arranging a license.
