You might want to check your math on that.
And you do realize that if you do a 2 for 1 stock split, the price of each share afterwards is lower, right?
Twice as many shares on sale, lower price for each. Seems like the logic would be obvious, but I'm willing to help if you need it.

If you purchase a stock at $10 (for example) and it splits (so you now have 2 shares at $5) and the stock goes up $1, this means that you have made $2 on your investment. YOu benefit form this, not lose. Granted, if the stock goes down after the split (say a lost of $1 per share) you lose $2, but you are only talking about a split and no stock activity up or down.
