Some people don't understand what is in RHEL.
If you come from a propreitary, share nothing type environment (Windows, for example), the prospect of using software that is a compiled collection of collected software (eg. RHEL3) can be hard to understand. Trying to wrap ones mind around the business model and what is actualy offered can be hard for some people.

Since RHEL is actually composed of a collection of said "free software" (free as in freedom to do what you want with it) and the software can be collected from various sources (DNS/BIND for http://www.isc.org/ for example), some people will not understand the service model and get hung up on the software. Keep in mind that Microsoft built their whole business model on how special the software was (and why you should pay for it). These are 2 very different mindsets, they don't always see things the same (actually, rarely).

Some people also like tocomment on things that they don't have a clue about (especially here). If your business model is that of a consulting company, you may have a different view as that of an implementor in a company or a user of said software. Also a mindset shift.

Think of it as software for the sake of software as opposed to software to get something done.
