Bad day for IP holders all over...
This represents the failure of Intellectual Capital contracts to be upheld. Red Hat has taken advantage of SCO code and IP in order to make a profit. My rep and I were discussing this with an attorney at Bogle & Gates the other day and he agreed with us 100%. As part of my background checks now, I research prospective employers to make sure they never contributed to an Open Source project or have used Linux. I also make this part of my application and interview process. Friends, we are at a crossroads in the IT industry. Either we use products from well regarded companies like Microsoft or latch onto green screen technology from Red Hat.
