It was your mistake and you continue to ...
... make them.

"believe most people would acknowledged Mac OS X as the most advanced and user friendly OS today, OpenBSD as the most secure, Linux as the most free and windows as the most popular with the greatest software and hardware support."

Most users don't know anything about OSX, FreeBSD or Linux, that is why or because most people run Windows.

"How you can call windows the "best" OS when surveys find 80% of people using it and connected to the web have some form of malware on their PCs is disturbing."

I never called it the best OS. I said most people think it is the best. Big difference and since most people aren't even aware of the malware being on their system that is hardly suprising!

"The "crappiness" position was in regard to the OS's security, what the whole post was about, response to another post and an article about security."

The article in question is quoting security experts that think once OSX gains some market share it will also be exploited. Point of fact, that a hardened Windows box has achieved better security ratings from the Center of Internet Security then any of the other OSs mentioned.
