I'm sure that some people love Debian, and that it runs things just fine. My objection is the the construction of it - under the "covers". There are well-known UNIX conventions that were ignored or rejected or whatever in Debian. Show me a programming language and give me a thesaurus - and I can make a BRAND NEW ONE! Is it "better"? No its the same or worse, since you need retraining to work with it. This is called "forking" and its what killed UNIX. NOW some "idiot" wants to do it to Linux . . .
