C'mon now...
It takes a bout 3 seconds and 2 articles to see where and how they made that mark and it had nothing to do with Linux. Servers lost biz, Services kicked butt and PC sales rose slightly. The big reason for the 3b was "more than half of the growth was due to favorable currency effects instead of operating performance." If you want to love Linux that's great but don't flame with half facts.
