>.NET is a global name-replace on Java - a direct and blatent copy - without the multi-platform capability of course.
If you knew a thing about the way .NET was architected, you would know that it was built from the ground up to be multi-platform. Just because MS wasn't the one to actually write the Linux implementation does not mean that they made .NET without multi-platform capabilities.
