People who don't use Linux on the desktop ...
have no clue as to how fast this OS and its applications are moving. My daughter just brought home a project from school and completed it with no problem with available Linux apps while her peers had major problems dealing with the same project under Windows because the necessary apps to get the job done are VERY expensive. On Linux, they are not as polished, but they are just there, and they work, and they are getting better all the time. Gradually, very gradually, people and companies are discovering the Linux desktop.
