Why would Linux types want to kill off the Mac?
OSX is FreeBSD-based. One would think that, even if some nerds prefer not to use it, OSX's continued existence should be encouraged. Apple has long set the pace for others in UI, and we'd all be the poorer without it (even we Windows users.)
