Linux/OpenOffice is not just a cheap knockoff.
People can get real work done with them. They are much more stable, less than 1/10 of the virus risk. Maybe a handfull in many organizations might need more than what they get from OpenOffice, but those would be better off with a publishing package than a generic office package like MS Office. In the end, MS Office is just another generic office package, with lots of baroque features. Get the right toos for the job. For those writing memos and using a spreadsheet as a fancy calculator, there is OpenOffice.
