How on earth do you come up with these tales?
"Yes they are compatible now, but look how long it took for them to become compatible with each other. They only achieved this recently."

I have been using Linux since 1999, and I have NEVER EVER had a problem running Gnome apps on KDE or KDE apps on Gnome. Both product lines are designed for Linux. Both product lines are free software. KDE apps are dependent on the QT libraries and Gnome apps are dependent on the Gtk libraries. If you want to run an app, all you have to do is make sure the right libraries are loaded - ONCE! From then on everything will be compatible. Most distributions load both sets of libraries by default on installation. Your statement is just proof that either you don't know what you are talking about ... again, or more likely that you are hoping for another atta boy from Bill. "It was years since they both wanted to do their own thing before agreeing on compatibility." is equally preposterous. FUD FUD FUD
