And there in lies the problem
I agree with your points, but the main problem is these companies want loyalty without showing loyalty to the workers and that is not right. I find it interesting that the very stockholder that the corporate bigwigs bow to complain about the same issues I have voiced. A conundrum ain't it?

I am an extruckdriver and two of the biggest lessons I have learned is to be self sufficient and I am loyal to those that work for me now. In my dealings over the years I have found that while the big guys may pay more there are many more stable small too medium sized single proprietorships or partnerships out there to work for. Those were the best places I worked for.

When I got busted up I had to find a way to work for myself. So I found a need and filled it. I patterned my business after a guy I worked for. He was a good man and paid a fair wage and worked his ass off to make sure that those he hired had a job and weekly paycheck even in the down times. He was loyal to his workers and the BallmerGates of the world would do well to learn that lesson.

I am not so sure that bigger is best. But I am sure that it is the small to medium privately owned business that make this countries economy turn.
