true but..You cant have your cake and eat it too
I feel the same way most of you do about outsourcing, but their is a big catch 22 around the reason why so many "American companies" are outsourcing.

Take a look at your pension, your 401K, any personal mutual fund, stocks whatever. All of these things we all depend on for retirement are driven by stock performance an earnings.

The hard reality and irony about all of this outsourcing is that many of these companies are dictated and controlled by their shareholders, and many of us Americans are those shareholders.

They must increase earnings and thats the nasty chain that drags you down once you become a big bloated public corporation trading on the market.

Having your stock on the market can seem like a blessing and foster growth when a company is new, but after the success and growth, these companies become slaves to their shareholders.

Sure MS and others could keep those jobs in the US, but unfortuantely we are all use to a lifestyle (cost wise, salaries) that far more exceed those in other countries and none of us want our personal holdings to drop in value.

Honestly if more of those companies where privately held than the control over earnings wouldnt be such a big deal and companies wouldnt feel compelled so much to outsource.

Dont get me wrong, I dont like the outsourcing trend either, but its our stock valuations etc forcing this problem, and yet you cant just pull the plug on the market either. There is a bigger social issue to this problem than just corporate greed.

You cant have your cake and eat it too...
