do you really think rolling out Leopard in an enterprise and getting everything working would be easy?

Vista has a ton of advantages if you try to look past the problems.

Run old apps in compatibility mode...that's what it's for...you need to do that with other OSes as well...i.e. OSX...did they cut off the old envronment yet? How are the devs feeling about that? why does MS get all of the heat?
Vista is ready to go. It's a much nicer interface and 3D will be everywhere in all disciplines in 2 years and people will wonder how they ever worked in a 2D world. Think of it, there is no application that could not be better served with 3D capabilites...i'm talking creative and functional, not "eye candy".
