Sorry...I think I misread your last two paragraphs to imply that you were going to go Vista, since you couldn't stay on XP forever. The lightbulb went on...you're thinking Linux or something else to replace XP? I'm not an "ABM-er"...but that is at least the thing to do - explore *all* options, not just "Vista or Vista's successor". Kudos.
