IF Everyone will recall back to the time before Vista's release.....
The majority of businesses were saying at that time, before Vista had even been released, they were looking at a 2008 timeframe for rolling out Vista. Looks like these companies are on schedule and of course they assumed SP1 would be out in 2008 as well which was the major factor.

But again, the reasoning was not Vista was not ready, it was that any OS release needs at least a year or more for all possible issues to shake out. Especially when your OS is relying on an ecosystem of 3rd party vendors, that they themselves must be ready and have all of their issues shake out as well. This may be when OS X looks appealing the minority of businesses but even though it can run Windows, that is not usually enough to close the deal with the pricing being too high.

Anyway, everything that was discussed and stated before Vista's release and any opinions of it were even formed, is turning out to be quite close to the reality.

In the meantime we saw a flurry....a massive flurry that included ABMers all the way up to Chief Executive Officer of Apple Corp., of Vista bashing that was endless and reaching into the blogging world. It became vogue to bash Vista.

But even with all of that energy and money and websites and organization and armies of ABMers to stop Vista adoption, little has changed in what businesses want. The same thing they always have. The best value for their money in the long run..economy of scale and super high productivity software that is unbelievably easy to manage.
