Nice little anecdote Mike.
However, you are in a very small minority. Speaking of seeing nothing compelling in Vista to move to, what does Linux have that is so compelling? It's no more secure than Vista and not as capable.

Now you will laugh at that but you haven't done your reading. Try looking at the Vista enterprise edition to see what it offers above and beyond XP. Or even the business edition for most users.

For companies using a WAN there is much to be upgrading to. The security alone, bitlocker, faster networking, client tools what will allow the most advanced and productive administration with server 2008, in the history of IT. The .net framework offering large companies a runtime that is ultra secure and capable of self healing programs.



Bravo for you Mike, but unforunately the "rest of the world" has decided to go with Vista.
