Umm, sounds like a suspicious piece of research
Personally, I would think that a company big enough to have a site license and therefore not being subject to the original OS on the system would be big enough to make a solid and fiscally sound decision here.

Yeah, my head's probably buried in the sand, but really, are there that many applications that will upgrade past XP and become Vista only? With so many people delaying, it would seem that nobody will deliberately tick off their customers by dropping XP support.

Besides, a business could always upgrade those who absolutely need the latest software. Is the percentage of those people so great that a company is forced to upgrade everyone? Does everyone need Office 2009?

All of the Gartner "facts" seems specious to me. Am I the only one? I should upgrade just because the next upgrade will be hard? I should upgrade, just because some apps will be unsupported?

Right.... I'll go drink my Kool-aide now. Thanks.
