Installing Apps
Not as easy on my Vista notebook.
My Network: Windows ME x 1, Windows Vista X 1, Mac Book Pro x 1, Windows 98 SE x 1, Windows XP x 2.
It used to be Windows XP x 3 but my little DV1000 got sick, so I purchased A Gateway with Vista (didn't have a choice). My network used to work very well. Used the ME for a print server. Now that Vista is in the mix it's all screwed up. Everything I go to do with my old apps that worked fine on my XP I have to jump through hoops to get to work on Vista. Kubuntu won't run the apps I run, tried it. No wonder M$ is selling Vista, IT'S ALL YOU CAN GET on a new PC without paying a premium. They got us right where they want us.
