I belong to the "Back to XP Club because...
I trusted the MS Vista test saying that my computer was fine for Ultimate...OOPS! Big surprise when I started installation and it told me my onboard nVidis C-Media sound wouldn't work. Then it was slow as molases so I doubled up on the memory and it actually seemed faster than XP. If not faster it was smoother.

Finally, bought a new Vista ready Creative X-Fi sound card which still didn't work right (loud squealing nouses) and still it work with 5.1 Dolby. That did it...back to XP. I did dual boot so still have Vista Ultimate on another drive and occassionaly start it up to do updates and pray everything will work...It doesn't.

Got Office 2007 the other day and they've dumbed it down so much you can't find commands that were plainly visible before, like Insert-Column Break. But at least it works with everything I want to do, unlike Vista.

I'm sure that Vista Ultimate works find on new high-end machines and I'll probably build one sometime later this year...Why not, I have a $400 OS for it just sitting around.
