Don't know what world you live in but...
here in the public sector where we don't have buckets of money to throw at IT, and legacy financial apps rule, people just want to get things done. 1/3 of our machines won't run the Vista 'WOW' until they get through the upgrade cycle in 15 months. XP SP2 is stable and gets the job done. And why should you give a @#$% if others choose to use (gasp) 'legacy' XP, unless you just like looking down yer nose at them? The longer an OS is around - as XP has been - the larger and more extensive the Application set will be for that OS, and the slower the transition to the next OS. So eat your Brie and smoke your smelly cigars somewhere else. Thanks to Microsoft for doing the right thing for us 'lesser life-forms.'
